Coyote and bluebird

Write a Review

Coyote behind lillies looking over it's shoulder at a bluebird. This painting had so many incarnations that there is really nothing in it that remains from it's original version. When I finally painted the lillies, that changed everything. I wanted a wild dog creature in it, and I decided to have the coyote looking back over it's shoulder at something. The something had been another coyote behind the tree, then a hummingbird, and finally the bluebird. Last to arrive were the sun-touched hills, the the lavender clouds on the bright blue sky. The painting developed from bottom to top, from the most forefront to the most distant. 911 32nd Ave. Seattle, WA 98122 206 941 9663
