Daisy (Mastiff)

Write a Review

Giant tortoise-shell mastiff on a blue chair on a decorative rug. Daisy was one sweet girl, and also gigantic. Her head was bigger than a basketball, but she was ever so gentle andhad puppy-like playful behavior. She had a favorite chair, which could barely contain her. I originally painted her with the ball in her mouth, but the clients said that she would rest the ball between her front feet whenever she was laying in the chair. So. I chose an orange and coral background because it pops the chair forward, which then pops Daisy out, so three dimensional space is created just by the juxtaposition of colors. I could always tell when clients were extremely happy with the painting, as they grab it and run out the door as if they fear I'll change my mind and keep the painting.
