Bearded Collie in a living room setting. Hannah would have been just as happy to bite me as to sit there watching my every move. She has such a sweet expression, but takes her role as guardian of the family very seriously. I dared not move from my place of sketching her until her human escorted me from the room. In the studio, I had great fun arranging the various objects and colors in this painting. Every object seems to pop out from the backdrop, especially Hannah. This painting helped me learn that my trademark is not just painting dogs, but painting with color and shapes in such a way that the painting seems to pulsate with energy.
