Airedale in a park scene with bush, fountain black iron rail and some birds. Rosie was a senior dog when she was adopted by a friend who would take in dogs that had been rejected by others and would see them through their last years. (She only had two dogs at time, she didn't collect them). I painted this portrait for my friend because I loved Rosie and because I admired how my friend was helping elder dogs and I wanted to give her something that would stay with her after Rosie was gone. I had recently been to France, with sketchbook in hand, so I placed Rosie in a park in Paris, which probably only I would know. The scene just fit somehow.
