Shiba Inu and Golden Retriever. Sadie and Woody were the dogs of a TV host in Seattle who also hosted a live auction for the animal shelter to which I had donated a custom portrait. Rather than auction it off, he bought my donated item himself. Sadie was the princess of the house, confident, dominant, used to getting her way. Woody would keep himself very low profile in the background, almost cowering. He wasn't even comfortable with me looking at him. I tried to capture these two very different attitudes in the painting. The client also had an art filled, beautiful and colorful home, so I also tried to depict the uniqueness of that environment.
