Sitting Beagle with kong in his mouth in a mauve and hot pink environment. This was not a commissioned portrait, but one I did for myself of a client's dog whose portrait I had already painted. I liked the pose of William with the kong in his mouth, so I painted another painting, quite unlike the commissioned portrait except for the kong and Beagle subject matter. WIlliam would pull his toys from their container then collect them altogether in his bed, arranging and rearranging them. Every night the client would put them back in the basket, then the ritual repeated the next day.
